The various youth organizations of the world serve a common purpose. These organizations teach children how to work hard, develop morality concepts, experiment, and become independent. The boy scouts are such an organization. In the Boy Scouts young boys learn how to perform many tasks that can vary from life saving skills to survival in the wilds. They learn to start fires, perform first aid, CPR, and self-reliance based skills such as tracking. They also learn to develop knowledge of poisonous plants and animals.
