Monday, September 29 Toys for Tots Mark your Calendar: December 11th and 12th Monday, September 22 2009 DOVER FUNDRAISER Dates: May 29-31 and Sept. 25-27. Mark your calendars now! Sunday, September 14 ZERO BALANCE YM must have a ZERO BALANCE with the Unit Paymaster to be permitted to attend events in which the unit must expend money for their participation. See Mrs. Draper if you do not know whether or not you have a Zero Balance. Monday, March 24 SIGN-IN/SIGN-OUT Effective April 12, 2008 all Young Marines MUST be signed in and out (beginning and end) of each drill/special event by parent or whomever drops YM off and picks up. No longer will you be permitted to simply drop-off and pick-up in the parking lot. Thursday, August 28 DUES Dues for Fiscal Year 2009 (October 2008-September 2009) will be Due on or before September 13, 2008. AMOUNT: $75.00 NOTE: There will be no refunds if Young Marine leaves the program at any time during the year. If you have a 2nd YM in the Program dues for 2nd YM is due August 23, 2008. If you have a 3rd YM in the Program dues for 3rd YM is due September 27, 2008. All outstanding balances from 2007-2008 MUST be paid in full prior to September 13, 2008. Sunday, April 27 BRING W/ ME I will bring to every drill: Guidebook, PT gear, healthy lunch, writing instrument and paper, any items due the unit and field jacket (weather permitting) Sunday, April 27 UNIFORM Effective April 26, 2008 sleeves to be worn up. All young marines, regardless of rank, are to arrive at drill IN uniform. You do not finish putting uniform on at VFW. Monday, October 29 RIBBONS You must turn in a Ribbon Request Form to receive your ribbon and certificate. Click on Admin & Forms then Other Forms to print a Ribbon Request Form. You have 8 weeks from the date you earn a YM Ribbon to turn in your Ribbon Request Form.
Sunday, April 27 LUNCHES All young marines MUST bring a HEALTHY LUNCH to very drill. You are not permitted to leave to go pick-up lunch (even if you have a driver's license). For insurance purposes and your safety, we cannot permit young marines to leave the VFW to pick-up lunch. Sunday, April 27 GUIDEBOOKS Are you studying your guidebooks? Be sure to have a Training Officer sign off on all enabling objectives you have completed. You need to be working on your guidebooks at home - not only at drills. Sunday, April 27 MISSED DRILLS If you need to call off from a drill or special event you need to call a staff member the night before. You should call prior to 2100. If no answer leave a message stating your name and reason for missing drill by speaking clearly into the phone. Sunday, April 27 PT GEAR You are to bring PT gear to EVERY DRILL Sunday, April 27 SPECIAL EVENT DRILLS Remember you must attend the 2 drills prior to a special event drill to be eligible to attend the special event drill. Sunday, April 27 I WILL WEAR I will wear to every drill: cover, blouse, boots laced and tied, clean white t-shirt, trousers with belt and bloused, black boot length socks and field jacket (weather permitting)
